Stacey Haugland
I am a Certified Professional Midwife and Childbirth Educator. I've been involved in women's health care since 1987 teaching childbirth education classes since 1992 and practicing midwifery since 1997. I was 16 when I first heard of the Women's Health Movement and learned about midwifery and I knew at that moment that I was going to be a midwife and help women discover their strength and creativity during their pregnancies. Many decades and hundreds of births later, I still am amazed by women and birth. Each woman, each family, each child is unique. Women, properly supported, know in their cells how to birth their child. My life is forever richer because of the families I have worked with and I am so happy about the diversity of options women and their families now have for birth, doula care, and childbirth education.
