Jen Wacker
My passion for birthing began from an early age.  I was fascinated by pregnant women and spent my time by their side whenever I had the opportunity.  Through my personal experience with my two children, I fell deeply in love with the miracles of pregnancy, labor, birth and the newborn.  My road to having a career in the childbirth field became a vision after having a Birth Doula during my second pregnancy and birth.

Now as a mother of two and a Certified Birth Doula (DONA), I support women through their personal birthing choices. My model of care is centered on a caring and encouraging relationship during pregnancy, through the birth and into the postpartum period.

My professional experience includes working with birthing mothers and their families in the hospital and homebirth environments. I have worked as an assistant with a Certified Professional Midwife on numerous births and have gained valuable knowledge of the birthing process, infant care and breastfeeding through this opportunity.  I graduated with a BS in Health and Human Development, which provided a strong understanding in the psychological side of birth and family systems.

I attended Health Works Institute and graduated as a Massage Therapist in August 2008.  I have combined my work as a Doula with my massage training and offer wellness, pregnancy and postpartum massage.  My practice is located at the Bozeman Birth Center, 601 West Villard (right off of 7th St.)

As a mother of two children and a professional massage therapist, I have a passion for supporting women through the transition to motherhood by offering massage that alleviates physical complaints, reduces stress and promotes well being for mom and baby. I also offer infant massage classes for new parents to enhance parent/child bonding and ease common baby discomforts.

I offer CranioSacral Therapy (CST) for adults and children. I use this gentle form of therapy on a regular basis on my own children bringing relief to ear aches and growing pains. I love working with children of all ages addressing a variety of challenges from nursing difficulties to emotional and sensory integration issues. As a therapist it is so rewarding to see such positive changes occur!

As a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist & Infant Massage Instructor I have specialized in prenatal & postpartum bodywork for 18 years. I received my training at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and have studied exclusively with the Upledger Institute for CST.

My office is located at 1919 Fairway Drive in Bozeman. For more information or to schedule an appointment please call 587-0818.
